Joining Call is a dungeons and dragons short film about a group of friends gathering to play D&D online, but quarantine related obstacles keep getting in their way. Things like kids not going to bed, couples at each other throats, and you know, basic internet connection problems.

SYNOPSIS:

Maddy really needs this virtual D&D session to go well. It’s been months since the pandemic hit and she could really used some human contact. As the DM she’s always prepared, but she’s quickly realizing nothing can prepare you for all the challenges each player is facing in extended quarantine.

ABOUT:

Joining Call is inspired by the major life shift we all have faced during quarantine. It’s a heartfelt and honest look at what it takes to connect with friends during a global pandemic. The film was made in quarantine 100% remotely and all the actors had to set dress, light, and record themselves.
